Trussrod...confusion

Sign in to disble this ad
clockwise to tighten, conterclock wise to loosen, got that. The part im confused is that if you look at the neck from the body up, you will be turning it a different direction then if your looking at it from the neck to the body.... if that makes any sense.

Is the trussrod nut or screw head in the heel or headstock?

You should be looking *at* the nut or screwhead. So looking from the body up if it's in the heel, and looking from the neck down if it's in the headstock.

Mostly right, but not always. For example, Pedulla basses are reverse to that.
