Tune-o-matic? More like BUZZ-o-matic. Help needed!

I've got a Dean Stylist archtop. It uses a trapeze tailpiece and a tune-o-matic bridge.

I'm having several problems with buzzing/rattling of the bridge saddles, and it's really getting on my nerves. My searches on the web reveal that this is a common glitch with tune-o-matics, and is basicly down to loose-fitting saddles.

Does anyone have any foolproof methods for solving this problem? The tricky part, it seems to me, is killing the buzz without also killing the twangy upper harmonics of the strings.

I understand that there are superior (i.e. expensive) replacements made by people like TonePro, that claim to deal with the problem once and for all. If I can't fix it myself, I may be forced to go down that road, but before I get to that point.....

Maybe you could put some blu-tac between the bridge saddle and the bridge, but not be in the way of the string going over it?
