A Tuner Question

Sign in to disble this ad
So I have a p-bass project Im working on, for it I ordered one of the fretless blocked maple necks from Rondo, when it arrived I realized the holes for the tuners were drilled for regular fender elephant style tuners (like these http://www.allparts.com/store/tuning...01,Product.asp )

but the tuners I have at home at the sealed modern style (like these http://www.allparts.com/store/tuning...10,Product.asp )

Is there anyway I could still use the modern style tuners (with say a gasket or something?)

Thanks for your help

sorry, i don't think that there's much you can do. Did you purchase the parts before-hand? because that would be a real bummer

About the only thing you can do is plug the holes by gluing in a dowel rod and re-drilling.

You can cut plugs from a dowel the same size as the holes, plug them, and redrill them.
