Tuner Screw Redrill Help

Sign in to disble this ad
I finally installed some gotoh tuners in my squire P, but I managed to drill the screwhole on the A tuner about a .5 to 1 mm off. This made the tuner point out at an angle, rather than being perpendicular to the headstock edge like the others. Its just enough to be noticeable to me.

Would I be better off filling the hole with wood puddy and redrilling in the correct location or doing the match stick fix to repair this?

I'm worried that the close proximity to the wood puddy would weaken the new hole.

Don't use wood putty, use a stick of hardwood. Glue it in and let it dry well before drilling a new hole.
