Tuners for a 1984 MIJ Fender P Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
The tuners are terrible on this bass and I want to swap them out. I'm not really sure what I need.

The shape of the tuner on the backside look like the tuner in this link:

Does that shape help determine which tuners I need?

Do I need to pull them out and measure the hole?

Try these guys:

If you can't tell what you need from the picture, call them. They are very helpful.

You will have to measure a few things first. Distance between the predrilled holes, diameter of tuner drilled hole. I believe 11/16 is standard fender, but some have smaller diameters. The problem I've found is that a lot of the spec'd measurements are metric, major headache.
