tuners for Japanese Fender?

Sign in to disble this ad
So I bought a nice CIJ jazz bass sometime ago and it's awesome. However I need to replace the tuners since one of the plates actually fell out (!). Does anyone know which tuner set works well? I was looking at the hipshot tuners but none of them seem to match the dimensions of the tuners on my bass.

If anyone knows anything about this let me know, I'm trying to upgrade my bass. It's 2004-05 bass.

They are probably Gotoh tuners (my favorites). One of the little circle plates is just going to allow dirt into the gears, but if you keep it relatively clean it won't be a problem at all.

hmmm...not sure exactly what it is, but it's a low-end Japanese Fender jazz bass. I paid about $400 brand-new in 2005. Hope that helps.

Any info anyone has on tuners for this bass would be great.
