Hi all,
I'm re building my old Encore bass and I want to replace the tuning pegs. I was wondering if These pegs:
would fit a standard P style bass?
I'm not entirely sure if they are usually one size fits all or not as I have never replaced any hardware.
Thanks in advance.

You can get a set of Wilkinson tuners here for a good price: Bass Parts Resource: Wilkinson Bass Tuners
Look at the three different ones across the top of the page.

| | | Oh that's a shame as I find those ones a bit too bulky, but hey, that's just the way it is.
thank you very much |

The thing you have to do is measure the size of the hole for the tuner. Most Fender type basses use 1/2" shafts. The ones you showed use 3/8" shafts. You can get the Hipshots in either size.

I don't suppose you have some more of those pearls of wisdom to recommend me some good pickups do you?
I was thinking maybe these: DIMARZIO DP127 WH - Thomann UK Cyberstore |

a cheaper alternative over Wilkinsons, lower gear ratio will do the job, my Squier VM Jazz uses them stock (Chrome tho') they're just OK : Bass Tuners, Elephant Type, Black, Right Hand,Set of 4 | eBay
I'd go with Wilkinsons if on a budget. The extra 10 bucks is worth it. Hipshots if you want to drop a ton! Have fun!
Edit, too big huh? Try these I have a set and they are very nice, large string post: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Black-Bass-Guitar...ht_1117wt_1188
