Turning a 5er to 6er String

Its so hard to find quality 6er where i live.
(6 string bass) plus i love fender shape.
Lets look at my options :
1) I may spend money on a cheap 6er basswood bass that i already have and transform it into a better bass.IS that possible?
2) I may turn my cort 5 string bass into a 6er.
3) I may buy an SX Ursa Jazz 6 string n work on that.
4) I may buy a Usa fender jazz 5 n turn it into a 6er.

SOme say : dont do it on a quality bass.
some say do it on a quality bass cause the neck would support 6 string. Fender's string space is too wide when it is a 6er so turnin a 5 into a 6er can make it more comfortable for me not sure yet... which option looks better?

Your absolute cheapest option will be a budget 6er, like that SX. It will also have the most normal 6-string spacing.

If you're like me, you'll eventually want to upgrade electronics and stuff, but it will still be your cheapest option.

As I couldnt find SX in rondo either (kurt said it ll be available mid 2011)
I got that cheap 6 and now i try to make it smth good.
I got a marcus fender 4 so i am afraid that this cheapo can make me SICK in the long run.... Do u think when u have nice 4 n 5ers a cheap 6er would feel bad no matter what upgrade i make? That is my only fear as I got good quality stuff at home.
