Twisted neck?

I have a older 5 string warwick corvette. I have been trying to get the relief set right. The bass side of the neck is great, but the treble side is straight as a arrow. I have a bad feeling that the neck might be twisted or warped maybe? When i adjusted the truss rod i heard a discouraging popping noise, is that an indicator of something?

Yeah sorry to hear.Your in my boat i have a Fender Lyte Deluxe with this same problem.Ive sorta learned to live with it because its still playing o.k but the treble side is definitly higher than the bass side on my bass.
When i asked TB i was told 3 things....
Change the Neck
Level the High side
Clamp the neck straight & re-tighten the TR & hope it holds.
As i said i havent done anything its been years like this.If i do i will go with the clamp method. After seeing it done on YT the results speak for themselves i would do that instead of leveling the frets.
First you gotta loosen the Truss-Rod then clamp the neck so that its as straight as possible checking it using a straight edge. Then tighten the loose Truss-Rod so the neck comes level again. It may take a few days with the clamp in place. This you have to check a couple times a day to see if it has moved & holding its shape.

Thanks for the input. My local music store/ repair said that the could do nothing except do a set up around the problem....well yea i already do that! I will check out the clamping method if it becomes any worse. Right now it only bugs me when i go lower than standard turning

Yep do some heavy research & you will find the best way to fix it.
With leveling on one side it would cost money where as with the clamp nothing.
Please let me know how you go with it so i can do the same.
