Ultimate Bridge Debate

Sign in to disble this ad
Lets create the end all discussion - What does the badass III have that II does not? Whats up with the unslotted option? Is this only for players that have pros set up thier bass for them? Does unslotted have any benefits for an amature player? The badass seems to lead the pack for custom-addicts, so where is the proverbial line drawn? What about the individual saddle bridges? They look like the best of all worlds. Are they? Please Help with a common debate.

??

the III is for new through-body fenders, the II is for vintage-style top-loaders.

the unslotted versions need to be slotted by a pro, the pre-slotted ones let you just lay the string in the slot that's closest to being right.

I have had great luck with the Hipshot A type bridge on high end basses. It has string spacing that is adjustable with the same wrench as the height adjustment screws.

Don't forget the Basass II2 that Allparts says is made from a different metal, which is much more badasser or something. And, that the BAII now comes with grooved saddles as well, if you want to spend the money.

Does your bass need a five-screw bridge, or three-screw with strings through the body? Pick your own string spacing, or use a pre-set option?

What is hard about this?
