Unequal String Output

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a Warwick Streamer with a Bartolini active preamp on board running into a Sansamp RBI pre. My problem is that the E and A strings seem to have a much more "robust" sound to them, not really louder but less ballsy for lack of a better term.

Does this sound like a pickup hieght problem?

If so what is the proper height for passive pickups running through an active pre.

If not, any ideas what it might be?

Thanks

Try boosting your treble EQ either on the bass or on your amplifier to equalize the output.
