Question very simple guitar (bridge saddle noise ) adjustment question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I hope you can help me with this one (even if it's about guitar).

I have a Squier Telecaster (please, don't give up on me ), and I keep hearing the spring of one of the bridge saddles rattle every time I hit the string. How should I proceed?

Thank you so much for any help.

  1. Remove string at tuner.
  2. Disassemble saddle, screw, and spring.
  3. Stretch spring so that it will be in compression at proper intonation.
  4. Reverse steps 1 and 2.

If it doesn't rattle through the amp it doesn't rattle.

Hey! That happened to my tele as well! In any case, the above fix fixed it!
