Vintage Fender Neck Radius?

Hi there,

Anyone know what the radius on a mid-60s (post-CBS) P-Bass would have been? I've read that the original radius was 7 1/2", changing to 9 1/2 sometime in the 70s, but this was on the Internet. Oh yeah, like where we are right now....

7.25" was the spec. Never 7.5, and they didn't even talk about neck radius until the American Standard Stratocaster was introduced. Now, there was a bit of hand work going on so they may have varied quite a bit. And after repeated re-frettings a fingerboard can get a lot flatter (SRV's Strat suffered this).

But, it shoud be 7.25" radius when it left the factory.
