Vm j Fretless neck on vm p bass

Think it will fit without mods? I tried it on my vm 77jazz and the Fretless seemed a little too big. So has anyone done this swap and how much modification was involved on the vm p

I tried the VM Fretless neck on an MIM body, and yeah it was too big for the MIM pocket. On the inverse, I put the fretted neck on the Squire VM body and it bolted up, but there were significant gaps on each side of the MIM neck's heel, as well the end... maybe, just a little less that a credit-card's thickness all around.

I never modded the MIM body to fit the VM neck, but if the VM P has the same pocket, you would have to remove a good amount of material all around the pocket
