I was recently given a fretless Warmoth neck. Will it mate to this 2010 Vintage Squier body? Fender Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz Bass BODY J | eBay

Warmoth neck...

I believe it will. I have a Warmoth Jazz neck that mated perfectly with a Squier *I believe* Affinity jazz body. Only problem I encountered was that the pocket was a bit deep because the Warmoth neck has the extended fingerboard, so I had to add about .080" shim to the pocket.
If it doesn't, it'll be pretty close...

Not all VM or Squire bodies are exact. They can vary by up to 1/8 of an inch. Will it fit, yes, however it might be tight or it might be loose. Is it a 21 fret (with overhang) or 20 fret neck? Take some measurements before you buy. Measure the heal width and the neck (minus fret board) thickness. Then send a message to the seller and ask for the neck pocket dimensions. also, most Warmoth necks adjust at the heal. Is that a problem for you? Warmoth necks are very stable so you shouldn't have to adjust it a lot. However, it will be necessary to take the neck off or you will have to route an adjustment slot in the body. None of which is a big deal if you have the tools and if you know how to make those adjustments.

Just some info for you to be aware of.

Good Luck.

Warmoths extended fingerboard sdoesnt have any effect on the neck heel dimensions, its only an extension at the end of the board. It is far more likely that the neck or pocket was a little out of spec.
