Question Warwick bass repair around Los Angeles

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I own Warwick Streamer Stage II 5st and I have been trying to adjust neck, string height, nut,,,, pretty much everything.
I read the owner's manual and learned how to adjust, but unfortunately, I'm not good with proper adjusting and do not want to break my bass.
So I want to find good repair shop that I can trust.
If you guys know good repair man who can handle Warwick bass around Los Angeles, please give me any suggestions.
Thanx.

I've also been looking around for someone to do a good set up on my basses. After a bit of looking around I found this guy http://www.ericsguitarshop.com/

I haven't had a chance to check him out yet, but he's been highly recommended around the message boards.

I used Eric on a few of my guitars (before I went to the bass) and he did a wonderful job on them.

since I live in culver city, The closest one is carruthersguitars.
But, if anyone have an actual experience like BassXGirl,
please let me know.
Thanx.

P.S Today, I ordered Just-A-Nut III at G.C and they said that the distributer(may be Danna)
can send me directly for free!!
I will postpone repairing my bass until the new nut comes.

After checking this thread for the same reason I decided to go with Eric's Guitar Shop, primarily because they offer next day service if requested. I have a 5 String Warwick Thumb NT and I must say that I was very impressed by Eric's Guitar Shop. Most of their clientele is Rock/Alternative so I was a bit concerned, but I couldn't be any happier with how they setup my bass. It plays unbelievably (everything was adjusted except electronics) and their customer service is great.

I definitely recommend them. I just left the shop an hour ago and I had to share my experience. Will definitely be using them again.

For simple setups, string changes and grime cleaning, I use SIS at Guitar Center (Sherman Oaks is the one that I use). Have used Eric's and found them to be reliable but they take a bit more time than I like. Neeley's Guitar, above Mesa Boogie, across the street from GC Hollywood is very good but won't do certain things (mods that he doesn't agree with for instance). The other guy I've used is Fren Asken, Frenster Guitars, and I wasn't extremely happy about his work.

I HATE it when people aren't completely satisfied with my work. Richard, let me know what you weren't happy with and I'll make sure it gets taken care of and doesn't happen again with you or anyone else. Off forum, of course. Thanks much.
