Mr warwicks nuts

Yeh I'm with you on warwicks nuts, I brought a corvette three years ago and mine actually snapped simply from string tension however I didn't have a particularly unusual setup lol, a few of my mates have had similar issues one guy got so fed up he removed it and replaced it with a custom made brass nut, sounded amazing..... Why do Warwick make crap nuts and why do they use grafite?? Is it just me or are there better sounding materials available, I mean we aren't talking about a cheap bass

i find the AAN-3 very convenient.. i've had no problems with mine.. i intend to replace it though with the Brass AAN-3, because i prefer brass over Graphite reinforced delrin..

it would be nice to have a bone AAN-3..

morning, thanxs for the replys,ya the guy at the store, really didn't want to answer my question, regarding that nut,so I thought to my self this could be a issue,as i've heard horror stories about these from time to time,ya u think all the craftsmanship that goes into those they come up with something better then that!?so i believe i'll get the spector legend!,another good thumping bass i played there,..!

I haven't had a problem with them ever and have used them for years. Best thing since sliced bread for getting that perfect setup. Just don't be an idiot and try adjusting it under string tension (that would never happen lol) and it will last probably forever. I do like the brass version over the graphite for tone reasons though.

While I've never had an issue, I had one break while in my nephews possession (who knows how THAT happened).
