Warwick corvette battery clip replacement

Hey just a quick question, hope someone knows the answer.

My battery clip must have a bad wire, it keeps crackling. So I need to replace it.

Thing is that it attaches to a plastic clip that goes to the pcb. I tried to pull this off from the pcb but it's very stuck on there. Any advise on how to get it off? Does it detach? I didn't want to force it and break the pcb!

You will prob need to unsolder it since the wires would be soldered. You can get replacement 9 volt battery clips with attached wires at places like radio shack.
