warwick corvette help?

Sign in to disble this ad
hey, im new here.
i play a warwick corvette std 5.

but i think theres a problem with the bridge. I can replace all the strings barr the low b, the windings at the bottom of the string seem to stop it sitting in the correct place in the bridge.

does this mean i should only use the warwick (blacks i think), or is there a way i can continue to use my current strings (diadrios(sp?)), like filing down slightly or anything?

cheers for any help

you may need to get tapered strings.

I don't use a tapered B, and I haven't done any filing. I just dropped the B saddle a bunch to keep the action consistent with the rest of the strings. No problems.

A light gauge b string of .120 or less fits without any modification. Anything higher than that usually does.
