Warwick headstock dirt.

Hi everybody, I'm after a bit of assistants regarding a 97 Warwick streamer LX I just bought, I thought that this might be the best forum to put it in.
The matte black finish on the headstock seems to be a bit brown in some places, almost like a sort of crusty dried mud look? I was thinking since many people are after these 'older' warwicks that maybe they have developed a solution for this headstock finish problem (if it is common) I want it to have that awesome jet black look that the newer ones have if that's possible
I'm sorry I don't have any pics, If they're really necessary for diagnosis I could track down a cam from someone.
Cheers Rayle XOX

Some bassists use the headstock as a cigarette holder and that happens. Try cleaning it with some lemon oil and see if that helps. let the lemon oil sit on there for a few minutes before buffing.
