Exclamation Warwick rockbass truss rod problems

Sign in to disble this ad
So i'm sitting here doing some truss rod adjusments. Nothing major, but after about 1/8 of a turn, i notice that it gets VERY easy to turn to the left. It seems that i'm not turning the truss rod, just the nut.

So my question is, am i just turning the nut, or am i turning the truss rod?becuse its not getting any straighter.

I'm so confused.

Please help

Craig

Shouldn't you turn it to the right to tighten it or am I missing something?

If your neck has too much relief, you need to tighten the truss rod nut. Turn the nut clockwise (to the right) to tighten the truss rod, which will straighten out the neck. When you turn the truss rod nut clockwise, you are NOT turning the truss rod itself... you are only turning the truss rod nut. The truss rod doesn't actually rotate... just the nut does.
