Warwick Thumb Neck thru 4

Just put some new DR higbeams on my bass and noticed the d string was jumping all over the tuner when bringing to pitch...would hold the pitch, then would jump way sharp, then flat. Also, the thrid octve on the d string (24th fret) is way flat almost a full half step, compared to the open d, and also the 12th fret D. Never had this problem with my bass, and have played it a long time. Is this just a bad string from the folks at DR, or is this a neck, set-up issue and I need to go to my bass tech back home and get this looked at?
