Alright guys I need some help with my Warwick Corvette`s truss rod. Basically I`m wanting to set the relief a bit straighter(tighter), but I`ve read that some wicks have a reversed rod and that what would typically tighten the rod will loosen it on some models and years.
I bought this bass second hand so I`m not really sure of the year(thinking 2000), which also means I`m not positive on which way to turn! I tried emailing the people at Warwick a few times and I`ve gotten no response within the past 4 months of waiting

I`ve even browsed their forums and it seems half of their owners don`t even know what they`re doing

As such, I`m asking you guys for some help.
The bass`s SN is D-074670-00. It`s a 5 string ash corvette standard.
*Also*
I`ve always made adjustments to my basses myself. As such I`ve done truss rod work on Fender, MusicMan, Yamaha, and Ibanez basses. I actually tried a few test runs on the Warwick myself to see if I could find out which way the rod works, but I`ve had little success. Having said that, I`ve also noticed some important things that should be mentioned.
1. The amount of pressure it takes to turn the rod seems insane on this bass. I know you`re not suppose to force truss rod work, but this one is incredibly difficult to adjust without putting substantial force on the tool to turn it. Is this normal of Warwicks? My StingRay and J bass move like butter whenever I adjust them.
2. The few times I have turned the truss rod I`ve heard popping noises. I have never experienced this on any of the other basses I`ve owned and would like to know what that is and if this too is typical of Wicks.
Thanks for any and all help, guys. I love this bass to death, but I, for the life of me, can`t seem to make simple repairs on this bass like I can on all my others
