This is a strange one guys.

I was away from my house a few days, and my bass was sitting in its regular spot as usual.

Pick it up to play, tune up, start doing my walking scales and i hit the tenth frett, and its a semitone out, keep playing same thing up the neck

theres deffinatley some warpage and my strings also lost a tonne of tension, any ideas?

It depends on where its normal place to sit is. If it's left for a "few days" leaning in a corner, supported by the headstock...........

How is it stored between playings?

maybe somethings fubared with the hudifier.

I take care of this thing like nuts its a brazillian rosewood neck, i want to keep it intact.

If you feel that you have the skills, I suggest that you just reintonate it and see what happens.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, it's a very routine quick adjustment for a repair/setup person. Just mention the problem to him and he can can do a quick assesment of what went wrong. Without actually having seen the bass both before and after the problem, all we can do is guess.

Interesting problem. Let us know the outcome. GL

So are you thinking it has a twist in it?
How does it look when you scope down the neck?

semitone huh?
I think you get points for that.
-just kidding!-

Make sure the truss is going the right way
I have 2 older W's
and one of the trussrods are in backwards!
I had a hell of a time figuring that out!
I was wondering why the action always was funky no matter what I did!
