washburn taurus

so the sticky up there as far as setup goes doesn't mention washburn

any walkthrough for a washburn taurus setup??

i have never set up a bass DIY before

The sticky doesn't mention Yamaha either. Nor Ibanez, nor Cort, nor Hondo, etc. etc. etc. The principles are all the same regardless of brand.

Yup, basses and guitars except those with trems are mostly the same. The main exception I can think of is rickenbackers. Whose truss rod adjustment is quite different.
