Weight- Wilkinson v. Hipshot tuners

Did a search, but didn't find an answer.

I have a 6'r that I replaced the stock tuners with Wilkinson open-back tuners. They ended up being slightly heavier, and along with a lighter bridge I am using, there is a tiny bit of neck dive. I'm curious to see how the Hipshot Ultralight's compare to the Wilkinsons in terms of weight... anyone have experience with both? The Wilkinsons are good tuners, but a couple of them have a little more play than I like. Don't want to drop a mint on the Hipshots if they aren't at least a little lighter.

From what I hear, Hipshot Ultralites are the lightest tuners out there.

Actually Sperzels are, and there is a Gotoh of the same weight, the Hipshots are considerably lighter than the Wilkys, about 7 or 8 grams per tuner I believe.

I have Wilkinson sealed, open gear and Hipshot Ultralights and for a set of 5 with the nut and washer (not the set screw) they are as follows:

Wilkinson sealed back = 10.8 oz
Wilkinson open gear = 12.0 oz
Hipshot Ultralights = 7.4 oz
