I have a strange question about hardshell cases. I have an original Washburn hardshell case that is über-rare and the foam inside is molded around the bass. Last year, I needed to leave states for 5 months, I sold most of my gear and lended a couple of important/sentimental ones to various friends.
One of them was a USA custom shop limited edition Washburn Bass, kinda based on early Bantam series (particularly XB-1000). That guy evidently sold the bass and tried to modify the case to fit a Jazz Bass!

In his defense, he misunderstood and thought it was a gift.
Anyway, I think I tracked one without the OHC and was wondering if there is a way for me to install a new foam and linings after removing the foams inside, of course. Is there any place that sells proper stuff for this kind of application or is it a lost cause and I should give up already. Better yet, is there a DIY information on this or can you think of a good way to do it.
Thanks!
