Weird inlay materials

Does anyone know if its possible to get the silver blue shell material warmoth and others use as pickguards as a neck inlay? Can ANYONE do this? I have this OCD impulse to have my neck inlays be the same material as my pickguards, and I love the way that stuff looks.

Why don't you get a couple of those pickguards, and cut them into inlays, should be fine.

If i attained a sheet or two of it, do you think a luthier (if supplied the neck and material) would do this?

Absolutely. It is an easy procedure and has a great profit margin. Better yet, call the luthier and see if he can obtain the material for you. That way he can make a couple of extra dollars. It is a tough way to make a living. Every little bit helps.
