| Many pick-guards do not drop in. You should always be prepared to make slight adjustments with quality tools in whatever you get. Pick-guards need to be spot-on in a variety of places & all too often those places change during construction. I would always have a set of very fine and high quality files and sandpaper ready before attempting to install any new PG. File in one direction; don't "saw". Use very small increments; you can always remove more but you can't put it back on.
Place the PG in position and see if it's really a clean fit. IF it's more than .5mm off at one areas, at another it will be the same but the opposite. Occasionally you may need to return the PG as the alteration will put you out beyond a clean fit. |
