Could be the pickups touching the edge of their cavities, or a loose saddle screw.

A loose tuner, (which you have ruled out, a loose part of the bridge, (spring etc.) a loose truss rod, or a vibrating strap lock. (especially Dunlops) If you have straplocks, take off the strap and play sitting down. Next have someone palm the bridge while you play. If none of this does it, it probably is the truss rod. Don't get alarmed, yet. It could be the truss rod is very loose and vibrating, and a slight adjustment will fix it. Worse case scenario, is that the nut has come off the rod. Very often it can be restarted when tightening. If you think it is the truss rod, and you are not too sure how to fix or adjust it, bring it to a repairman. It most cases is it an easy fix.

Make sure they have enough "break" over the nut. |

| | | | Check what Jerry said and if it that doesn't work, check to see if it is only on a certain string, I was having the same problem but only on the A string. I loosened the string and pulled it out of the bridge saddle then kept downward pressure on the string at the nut as I retuned it and, low and behold, it went away. I think the problem was the string not having enough downward pressure at the nut but either way, the problem dissappeared. I agree that it probably something simple but good luck! |

My Ibanez does it all the time if I don't put tension on the strap. (So it only happens when I'm sitting, and it seems to prefer the A string)
