What are the best possible tuners?

I have two basses that are in serious need of some good tuners.
I've been using them primarily for recording lately and I'm tired of messing with the lack of precision of the stock tuners.

One bass is an old Ibanez SR800 and the other is a Fender "Geddy Lee" Jazz.

I've listened to all of you in the past about gear and have always been extremely happy with my purchases.

I'm asking you guys based on your experiences, what are the best tuners I can possibly get?

Hipshot...without a doubt. The Gotohs, Schallers, Sperzels, etc. are all excellent choices and shouldn't be overlooked.

I've had the same set of Schallers on a bass of mine for more than 15 years and the still work just as good now as they did then.
Schallers = imo
