Sign in to disble this ad
my p bass needs a new neck cause this one is warped. its a 1995 mexican p bass everything else on it other than the neck and pickguard are fine including the tuners. so what kind of neck should i get? do i stick with the p bass neck or go to a jazz neck? get a mightymite or an original fender? anyone got some hints, tips, etc?

Are you saying that the trussrod will no longer straighten out this neck? Is this your own observation, or have you had a repair/setup professional look at it, and tell you that it needs to be replaced?

You can get a Mighty Mite neck for a little under a $100.00

I would look up that link..... at that price, it would be hard to pass up! Simply replace it with a p-bass neck and be done. There's not too much sense in investing at this point as FrankenBasses don't see a return on the investment (unless you're going to keep it forever). You have the hardware and you have the wider neck "feel" so putting a thinner jazz on it may take some getting used to.
