I'd fill with wood filler, drill, and re-hammer.

Venting:

I played this thing last night at a show for all of one song, before I decided the tone was just unusable and the action was way too high. I switched to my P-Bass after that. I have another show tonight, and the whole day off, so I decided to try and fix all my set up woes. I was nearly done, and boom, this happens. All that work for nothing.

Anyway, while we're on the subject, I hate that birdge anyway. Do I have any options for replacement on an instrument like this? The saddles have to sit a lot higher than they would on a Fender-style instrument, so I worry that most of those options are out of the question.

I have seen people put tooth picks in the hole when you put it back in on the sides, mostly on les paul style bridges, and also with strap buttons.

I shimmed it with a thin piece of cardboard and hammered it back in. It seems to be holding, but time will tell. Thanks everyone.

This is the only replacement I'm aware of for the Gibson/Epiphone 3-point bass bridges.

Ouch, that is almost the price of the bass itself.

edit -- or I should say: almost half the price.
