What is this piece on the headstock called?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am finished on a jazz bass project with the exception to this one part for the strings. It's the round thing (coin-like) on the headstock that holds the D & G strings down before they go to the tuners. What is this piece called and how would I go about getting one? I would appreciate any guidance. For now I just have some eletrical tape to hold the strings down .

What a pleasant surprise. What did you go to school for and how did you like it? I got my business finance degree there and that is the most worthless degree. I work at RCU as a financial sales rep with a bunch of women who never went to college. Imagine how that makes me feel... The plus side is that they're great people to work with. Where are you at now?
