What to use to "paint" a bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
I am wanting to stick a bridge with threaded saddle on my bass, but i can only seem to find them in chrome, but all the hardware on the bass is black, so what could i use to change the colour of it, spray paint, normal paint etc ?

Don't paint it! It won't work! Try Warmoth.com, AllParts.com, or GuitarFetish.com. I'm sure I've seen black hardware at those suppliers.

Threaded as in vintage fender style? Only thing that will stick is power coating it.

it is called powder coating. it's not paint, as much as it's black pigment molecules electrically attached to the metal. paint = terrible idea.

Lol. that was a typo. You're baking the finish unto the metal, so it's much more durable than any paint. I dont think any paint will stick to chrome surface without flaking in short time.
