What to use on a rosewood fretboard to clean

Sign in to disble this ad
I picked up a used Ibanez 5 stringreally cheap and it needs a good cleaning. What do you guys use on a rosewood fretboard to get the really thick gunk off? The frets look like they are turning a little green. I dont think the kid ever cleaned this thing.

I would use a very fine steel wool to clean the frets and lightly on the fingerboard, then wipe the fingerboard with lemon oil.
