Whats the best tuner for my mexi pbass?

Im not looking to spend more than 100 bucks, but i need somthing better than the stockers. I'm retuning every half hour or so at rehersal. I'm used to my hot rod p that stays in for a month! Any info would help thanks.

the tuners are most likely just fine.

tuning problems are usually caused by the nut pinching the strings.

Hmm, you think I should have the nut looked at? I dont think thats something I want to mess with. Either way I just ordered these Hipshots, I like the idea of direct drop in. I didnt want to have any extra holes. http://store.hipshotproducts.com/car...t_detail&p=261

apon futher reading, I might have to drill some holes oh well, I'm sure there will be some improvment.

Hipshot and you may have to drill just be super carefull and if not able, have it done because when it is done right and they drop right in you will be so happy with the Hipshot tuners.Best of luck

If you bought the Hipshot HB-7's, you should not have to drill any new holes. I just replaced the tuners on my MIM Jazz and it took me all of 10 minutes using the same holes and bushings.

man, those look nice, i'm sure they will be much smoother.

you'll still need to get the nut looked at to fix tuning issues, though

My Geddy Lee's tuning stability was aweful with the stock tuners. Since I installed Hipshot HB2 tuners a month ago, I haven't re-tuned it!
