What's the differance....

....between the strings being anchored through the body or being anchored at the bridge? Reason I ask is that I have a Cirrus BXP 4 that has the strings through the body but I've noticed that the USA Cirrus anchors the strings at the bridge. Just wondering what kind of difference the anchor points make so that I can factor it into my upgrade to a fiver.

Not much difference, honestly. Some people experience/perceive some difference with some basses, but it's not consistent enough from person to person or bass to bass to say what "the difference is".

On my J5 I have the low B strung through body and the rest of the strings top loaded, because it seemed to sound best that way; but I may have just been fooling myself, the differences were very small either way.
