It seems that their tuners have vanished from shop shelves.
You can hardly find them in stock anywhere online.
Is the company going out of business ?

TK is a great ressource for Sperzel parts but he stopped shipping to Europe, so I rarely check there.
At least I got my answer.
Quote:
Due to a huge increase in OEM orders as well as Sperzel moving to a new larger building in 2007, Sperzel has unfortunately been shipping orders slower then usual for the past several months.
Current estimated shipping times are averaging at 4 weeks (sometimes even longer), so please be patient while waiting for your order.

This rarely happens, and is often due to a huge increase in orders at Sperzel, or even the very rare case where they are backordered on parts.
If this happens to your order: please be patient, because there is really nothing I (or Sperzel) can do about slow orders, and/or backorders.
I can definitely assure you that they are planning on getting your orders out to you as soon as possible; it is definitely a high priority to them.
I can also assure you that it will be well worth the wait when you get your cool new custom set of Sperzels!!

I think at one point they quit making the bass locking tuners, but could be wrong on that. I used them on a bass I built and LOVE them.
