Where to buy actual Fender parts?

I'm in desperate need of a Fender neck for my MIJ Jazz. I'm not wanting to go the Allparts route, they look cheap and don't say Fender. Warmoth would be great but again, not fender.

Where can I get actual Fender parts?

I believe it's impossible to get fender necks without buying a used one. Too many people were making fender copies and selling them as real Fenders to make money off of the name, so they stopped selling necks.

Bummer. Disappointing.

Cheaper to buy a new bass than fix this one. It has a twist in the neck and needs a re-fret. Without it i'm loosing money. Guess its time to sell the musicman to feed my fender fetish.

Or you could just use a Warmoth neck. So it says Warmoth on the headstock, but you're probably getting a better neck than what you began with. I'd rather have a better neck than no neck at all because of a name.

You can check but I called Fender about a year ago and asked about replacement necks. They still sell them but you can not just call and order one. You have to go to an authorized Fender dealer and they have to verify serial numbers on the neck and body and send the information to fender then fender will let them know and you have the shop send Fender the cash and they send the shop the neck.

There are some people on eBay who sell Fender parts. I've dealt with these guys in the past:

The STRATosphere (Jazz necks)

I need to buy a neck soon, too, and I've been thinking of contacting someone like that, instead of Warmoth or AllParts (I mean, it has to say "Fender" on the headstock)!
But my question is: how many of you would buy something as iffy as a Fender neck, sight-unseen, from an outfit like that?

Well, that particular seller has over 20,000 transactions with a 99.9% rating. I bought some Strat parts from them in the past and had no problems.

And what's iffy about a Fender neck? All the Fenders I've played in the last couple of years have been pretty consistent in quality.

The guy from the stratosphere is ignoring me and not answering my PM's. I would prefer to NOT do buisness with him. Besides, I just realized that I could buy Fender Japan basses from Ishibashi and take them apart and sell them on Ebay for a profit just like him. I think i'd rather pay for a fully assembled Japan bass than buy the parts AND assemble it myself.
