Where can I get Aerodyne jazz replacement pickguard

Sign in to disble this ad
Wow.. I really am surprised. I just got an aerodyne jazz bass body and couldn't find any info about it, let alone a replacement pickguard.

Anyway, I know there are places to do custom pickguards if you ship them existing pickguard; but I have none. The body is from a non-export model and it is routed for a P pickup. I thought Warmoth have something similar, but judging from the image, the pickup route is too close to the screw holes.

Anyone has an experience with that?

Do you win the auction for the Candy Apple Red body? If you did that was a sweet looking body.

LOL.. Yes sir, I most certainly did . Everything happened in the last 2 minutes. I gotta stop buying stuff without doing appropriate amount of research.. Now I suspect the original bridge slot may be countersunk and wondering if it would fit a gotoh. Still looking for the pickguard, too.

Bump of an anxious soul! I found out the bridge is standard Fender, but the weird bridge slot may not allow me to put something exotic there. Still looking for pickguard options with no luck!

I have a black Aerodyne Jazz

I have a black Aerodyne Jazz. I have never seen a pickguard on any of them. Does this one have screw holes from a pickguard? I do have a tortise Jazz pickguard with a P-Bass Pickup cut out if that will help, let me know.

The non-export Japanese ones do have pickguards and control plate on them, not as common as USA export models (obviously).

Archtop body and pickguard, I am also curious how that works. Upon arrival of the body, I will see if screw holes line up with MIA jazz. If it does, it wouldn't be much problem to find a pickguard for it. Other than that, I am begining to believe I may never find a direct replacement.

Stratosphere do not have any aerodyne pickguards listed. Anybody seriously do not own one around here to tell me more about the pickguard of it?

Forgive me if someone already stated it, but yes the non-export model has a routing for the bridge. When i went to install a Badass II on my bass, i came to this harsh realization. Luckily, some fine work with a few chisels and it turned out well. If you have a router, however, that would be optimal because basswood doesn't chip out too well.

I am not gonna put Badass, but thinking more along the lines of Gotoh. Still that weird route will be a problem.

My real problem is with the pickguard, can you please give me more info on that?
