Where can i get a bridge like this??

Sign in to disble this ad
Found this 5 string in the trash, cheap brand unknown to me, but it was missing its bridge and all the electronics just had the pickups sitting in it, which still work. Ive decided to rebuild, but i cant find a bridge in this style. It has 3 holes near the back of the bass, and 2 near the front. Ill try to draw it, This being about the height of a soap bar 5 string pickup, and a little narrower. If anyone knows where i can buy a cheap bridge or at least the name of such style, please let me know!

Edit: Sorry for bad drawing but it illustrates the idea

Are you looking for a bridge or a pickup?

A bridge. I just realized i put pickup in the title...im an ass. I know where to buy it, but what is this style called? The ones i always see have 4 or 5 holes along the bottom. Not mixed up like this.

I believe the Schaller roller saddle bridges have that type of screw layout.

You might want to consider dowel the screw holes and mount the bridge of your choice.

I was just condsedering that, But if i can find one that fits ill grab that. I would like to use a nice bridge instead of the cheesy angled plate like the one my peavy has. It wears through the strings and they break prematurely.

look for MusicMan style bridges, they have 5 holes in the configuration of your drawing. Several sellers on ebay, generally in $20 -$30 range.
