Where to get black hardware to replace my gold

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got this Carvin bass.

I want to replace the gold hardware with black hardware.

I haven't had to order replacement parts like these before.

Carvin does not sell them seperately.

Any preferred online stores?

Tuning keys
Knobs
Strap buttons

Thanks

Lots of places. Google "Bass hardware", go to your local shop, try Ebay. I did the same thing to my Peavey Palaedium, the gold was pitted and nasty.

Not really actually. Bass NW where I bought the bass does not for example. Plus alot of stores might have a mix of colors. Much easier to make one order online.

My main concern was getting the right tuning pegs as the headstock is very small. I thought someone might look at THIS bass and say go here.

I found them at Stewart MacDonald.

you could order from wd parts, and pick up some crazy Q parts knobs while you're there, if you dont mind paying about $10-15 per unit, that is...

Another +1 on Bestbassgear.com. The owner, Brian Ristola, is a luthier (and a very good one!), so if you have any questions he can definitely answer them.

Never had anything but fantastic service!
