I was contemplating this too. Thing is, I used some of this paint on a roto-molded toybox lid once, and it came right off...

Not that this will see much use as it's cosmetic (on the treble side, tug-bar style) , but still...

Roto-molded plastics aren't something a plastic binding paint can bite into.

I wanted a decent thumbrest for my bass instead of the cheapo plastic and this guy makes awesome thumbrests. It is a little pricey though.
