I think this is a series of "spoofs" along the lines of Spinal Tap, Best in Show, etc. They are pretty funny if you know anything at all about guitar repair. If you don't, I guess they could be very dangerous videos to watch!

Amen. Unleveled frets is the key to grunge tone.

Better yet, rip 'em all off. Jaco didn't need no stinking frets.

Wait, what, You were on the dark side??

Fortunately JT saved Your behind

LMAO. And in case you thought you needed to remove the strings to properly crown the frets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPjNW...eature=channel

Perhaps in his next vid he'll show how to remove the awful scuffs to fretboard he made during this lesson? LMAO.

Oh god. I've had trips to the dentist that were less painful than watching that.

Ouch!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you only supposed to file in one direction? And if you leave the strings on and use something to wedge them higher, won't that create a weird tension on the neck and make it impossible to accurately level them?
I watched this while having my first cup of coffee. I gotta go back to bed now. That was painful!!

I've learnt not to watch EV videos, unless I need a laugh. I actually split my sides with this one.
