Who's the best 3rd party parts manufacturer?

Sign in to disble this ad
Im looking to compile a list of great 3rd party companies, that manufacture parts, accessories, etc... To use as a reference when looking to buy any thing for my basses.
So if you've had a good experience with a certain 3rd party company or know they have a reputation for quality feel free to share!

My personal example would be:
DR's Line of "DDT" or "Drop Down Tuning" Strings.
They are a must have for any bassist playing in drop tunings.
The moment you tune them they lock in and stay in tune.
This is my personal experience, with four different sets and gauges of strings from the DDT line.

Hipshot. Their quality AND their customer service are among the very best in the business.

Imo. Schaller makes the best hardware. Tuners, bridges, trems straplocks. Goth and hipshot are a close second.

allparts is very good for lots of stuff; they distribute many of the makes referred to here.

also, their nickel versions of anything they sell are not more than the chrome versions, i don't know where that came from. parts have to be plated in nickel before they're chrome-plated anyway. allparts clearly distinguishes between the two either way.
