Will 2005 Jazz Bass Tuners fit on a 2006 Precision Bass

Well my question is really simple,

i just bought a used 2006 MIM Precision Bass here off talkbass and I was planning on upgrading the tuners and the rest of the hardware.

Will 2005 amercian jazz bass tuners fit on a 2006 precision bass. Does fender use the same kind of tuners ? or the diameter of the tuner will be too small/big for my precision,

Best guess is that fender uses the same tuners. Could be wrong but all the ones I've seen looked the same.

edit: as long as they're stock tuners and not aftermarkets that the previous owner may have installed.

the peghole of your mim is too large for american tuners. mia tuners use 11/16" peghole and mim are slightly bigger. it might work though because mia tuners are attached with a hex nut assembly that screws into the tuner holding it in place. but instead of screws, mia tuners use positioning pegs.
see this link. i know they aren't the same as your 05 tuners but they work in the same fashion.
