Will a Hipshot bass xtender for an American standard jazz work for my 05 amer. series

i was looking online about them and it says there only for the 2008 or later American Standard models. Will they work for my 05 American Series or do i have to buy a different kind?

in '08 they went to a much smaller, lighter key, so no it won't fit.

if it were me i'd get a complete set of lighter keys anyway though, as those earlier bass keys were freakin' heavy, and made the things neck-dive-y.

at that point, a hipshot that matched the new ones would naturally follow.
