Worn Screw Holes

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a couple worn down screw holes in my jazz bass. Theres one real bad pickguard screw hole that is so worn down, i can just push the screw down. I used to keep a pick jammed under the pickguard near the screw when I had just started playing bass.

On to more important things, one of the neck screw holes in the body is kinda loose. I don't know how it wore down so fast, I have removed the neck a few times to try out shims and to install Ultralite tuners. And lastly, one of the bridge mounting screw holes in kinda bad. I think it came like that from the factory because I had a hard time getting the screw in straight when I changed out the stock bridge to a Badass.

And another thing, I drilled one of the holes for a thumrest a couple millimeters off, and now it sits over the edge of the pickguard just a little bit, but it bothers me to know its like that.

So can anyone give me suggestions on how to fix these problems?
