Which would have higher neck tension?

This might be a silly question, but,,,which would have higher tension on the neck,? a bass tuned EADG, or one tuned BEAD?

Using D'Addario XL nickle roundwounds.

This table will tell you the tension of each string, tuned to a specific pitch.

You should be able to add them up. I'm going to guess that they are the same within a few pounds.

Assuming you are talking about using the B, E, A and D from a five string set rather than a standard 4 string set, the tension would be nearly the same to slightly less. Not sure of that set, but typically the tension at pitch for a B string is a little less than that of a G. Although, it is not significant. It may or may not require a relief adjustment.
